She's Always Drinking Wine

from Vicki EP by Cities & States

lyrics

She's sending pictures to my phone
I just wish she'd leave me alone
There's a limit to my happiness I know

I keep dreaming of my death
Like it was something on the television
It's just a nightmare that is all

I could kiss her on the lips
Or I could kiss her goodbye
But it's all just a fancy waste of time
Now I'm not one to judge
What a young woman does
and I'm certainly not saying it's a crime
--But she's always drinking wine

I treat my frustration like it's overgrown
The fruit's already fallen from the tree

And I watch the situation disappearing on its own
Like a slow evaporating chemistry

I could kiss her on the lips
Or I could kiss her goodbye
But it's all just a fancy waste of time
Now I'm not one to judge
What a young woman does
and I certainly don't think that it's a crime
--But she's always drinking wine
